IELTS SPEAKING TEST PART 1
Can you talk about the place where you live currently?
Yes, I'd love to! I'm currently living in Los Angeles, and I absolutely adore it here. The city is huge and there's always something new to explore, which I really enjoy. The weather is great year-round, which is a definite bonus. And even though it can be a bit chaotic at times, I really enjoy the fast pace of life here.
Do you plan to live there in future as well?
No, I plan to move to New York City after I graduate college. I'm originally from the East Coast, so I'm looking forward to being back on that side of the country. Plus, NYC is an amazing city with so much to offer, and I'm excited to experience it.
Do you ever walk to work?
No, it's too far away. I usually take the subway or a bus. But I love walking around the city, especially in the spring and fall when the weather is perfect. Walking is a great way to see all the different neighborhoods and get a feel for the city.
Can you describe any interesting incident that happened while walking to work?
Well once when I was walking to work, I saw a guy walking his pet lizard on a leash. It was so bizarre and unexpected that it made my day. You never know what you'll see when you're walking around!
Where do you prefer to walk? Why?
If I want to relax, I go for a walk in Central Park. It's so peaceful and lovely, especially in the fall when all the leaves are changing color. And if I want to get some exercise, I walk up and down the Brooklyn Bridge. It's a great workout with an amazing view of the city.
IELTS SPEAKING TEST PART 2
Talk about something which you and your family has had for a long time?
You should say:
- what the thing is
- why it is important to you and your family
- what you plan to do with it in the future
and explain how your family got it.
We have had a lot of things in our family for a long time, but one of the most important things is our house. Our house is important to us because it is the place where we have all of our memories.
Let me start by saying it's a traditional family home with a lot of history. It was built in the early 1900s, and my great grandparents were the first people to live in it.
My grandparents lived in it for a while, and then my parents moved in and raised me and my siblings there. So, as you can imagine, there are a lot of memories in that house.
Some of my best childhood memories are from when we would have family gatherings at our house. All of our extended family would come over and we would have this huge feast.
There would be so much food and laughter and love. Just thinking about it now makes me feel warm inside.
Our house is also important to us because it is the only thing that we have left of our family.
We plan to keep our house in the future so that we can remember all of the happy times that we have had together.
Our family got our house from my grandparents. They wanted to make sure that we had a place to call home. They built it back when they got married and lived there until they both passed away.
We are so grateful to them for giving us such a wonderful place to call home.
In the future, we plan to keep it in the family and hand it down to our children. We hope that they will love it as much as we do and that it will be a place for them to create their memories.
IELTS SPEAKING TEST PART 3
Have you ever visited a museum that has paintings?
Yes, I have. I love going to art museums and seeing all of the different paintings.
I especially enjoy seeing how the artist has used different colors and brushstrokes to create their work.
Have you ever wondered how those paintings are created? It's a pretty fascinating process. First, the artist will sketch out their idea for the painting on a piece of paper. Once they have the basic outline of the painting down, they will start to add in the details. They will choose the colors that they want to use and then start painting.
The whole process can take weeks or even months to complete, depending on the size and complexity of the painting. I think it's amazing how much detail and thought goes into each painting. It
Was it a good experience? Why? Why not?
Yes, it was a good experience because I was able to see how the paintings were created, and it was fascinating to see the process that went into each one.
How do you think museums help in understanding history?
Well, one way in which museums help in understanding history is by displaying artifacts and paintings from a certain era. This allows people a glimpse of what life was like during that period. Additionally, many museums have experts who can provide context and background information about the exhibits. This can help to give a more well-rounded understanding of history.
Do you think technology can help in understanding history in any way? If yes, how?
Yes, technology can help us to understand history because it can provide access to a wealth of information that might not be available otherwise. Additionally, technology can help to preserve history by storing data and records that would otherwise be lost. For example, the Internet has made it possible for people to access primary sources from all over the world. This has allowed for a more global understanding of history.
Do you think that events in history can help people in the present? How?
Yes, past events can help people in the present because they can provide context and understanding of the present.
Additionally, they can serve as a warning for future generations. For example, the Holocaust was a genocide that happened in the past but its lessons are still relevant today.
It serves as a warning to us about the dangers of hatred and bigotry.
Do you think that people care more about material things in life nowadays than in the past?
Absolutely, we have become a society obsessed with material things. We are constantly bombarded with advertisements telling us that we need the latest and greatest product.
And even if we don't need it, we want it because everyone else has it. This wasn't always the case though. In the past, people were more content with what they had. They didn't feel the same pressure to keep up with the Joneses.
What do you think is the most important lesson that people can learn from history?
There are many lessons that people can learn from history, but one of the most important is that hatred and bigotry can lead to terrible consequences. If we can learn to be tolerant and accepting of others, maybe we can avoid making the same mistakes we made in the past.
How important is money in modern life? Why do you think that?
It's essential. Money is the root of all evil, they say. But it's also the root of a lot of good.
It allows us to live comfortably, buy the things we want and need, and help others.
Money is important because it gives us the means to improve our lives and make a difference in the world.
