Something you want to learn more aboutWell, I’m currently studying for a degree in Media Studies, so something I would like to learn more about is related to what I’m studying at the moment – the media.
I want to learn more about Media Studies, so I intend to pursue a postgraduate program in the USA to further my knowledge in this field. Nowadays, the internet and its associated social media are extremely powerful influencers worldwide. There have been so many changes in how information is disseminated that managing and optimizing the flow of information have now become vital skills.
The cultural industry, transnational media, and the emerging global culture make this a fascinating field of study and I hope to do further research related to some of these areas in the future.
Media Studies is a challenging professional area to be involved in, and there are a lot of interesting prospects for developing a career within the industry. It’s also one of the professional careers with the highest employment rate, so there is plenty of demand for media professionals.
As one of my professors said, the media has an incredible amount of influence in society these days, and it allows people the opportunity to change the views held by others and the way people consume information, and therefore impact their lives – it is this power that makes the media so important.
Studying the theory, practice, and production of media, as well as social and cultural theory, so far has been really interesting and I’ve already developed excellent critical thinking and project management skills from the coursework and internship I’ve done.
I hope that in the future, I can develop my knowledge and experience further in the USA, where many of the media innovations originate. So, that is something I would like to learn more about.

Can you briefly describe something you do regularly that helps you work and study better?
Yes, of course. Something I do regularly to help me work and study better is using time-blocking. I give each thing I need to do its special time slot, like prepping for IELTS, working on projects, exercising, or even chilling. Doing this totally helps me stay focused, stops me from dragging my feet, and boosts my productivity. Thanks to time-blocking, I've gotten way more disciplined and successful, both in at work and in my studies, all while keeping my life balanced.
