IELTS Part 3 Speaking Question and Answer | Should family members be treated in the same way as other employees? Why?

This part 3 question from the IELTS speaking test refers to the topic of family business and asks you to give your opinion about the treatment of family members and other employees working in a family business.
Should family members be treated in the same way as other employees? Why?

IELTS Speaking Sample Answer

Ideally, yes, it should be the case in terms of the work they do so that other employees do not feel that family members receive preferential treatment which is unfair. But, I suppose that when it comes to responsibility and trust, then maybe family members might be treated a little differently, they might know more details about the business or be aware of some information which other employees are not, just because they are family and the level of trust is generally greater within a family.
